+ Can I use it without craft mat?
  • No, using the eyelet setter without craft mat will damage irreparably the working surface, the mat will protect it. Avoid using the self healing mat, more flexible, which will be damaged by the eyelet setter, use a hard mat.
+ How to create a perfect punched straight line
  • Fitted with a ruler and soft pencil, draw a line on back of cardstock and lightly indicate marks by measuring spacing. Then position the eyelet tool in the middle of the mark. Finish off by punching all the marks and then setting the eyelets.
+ How to hide eyelets or brads underside?
  • To disguise the backs of eyelets or brads, simply cover them up. On tags, if you don't want it to be obvious, try using matching card or tie broad sheer ribbon through the eyelet. For a more decorative approach, try using printed paper in a strip or punch out a circle and attach behind the eyelet with double-sided tape. However, one of the easiest ways to avoid exposing the rough edges on cards is to use eyelets on co-ordinating layers that are attached either with sticky fixers or just flat with glue and so don't penetrate the main base.

  • You can use a paper clip to empty the tip and confettis will fall.
+ The spring hammer is tendrilled, is it a quality defect?
  • No, the tendrilled spring hammer is linked to a « wrong » use of the tool. To avoid this problem, do not pull the spring strongly and don’t pull it on one side. It is preferable to make several « little » punches instead of one «strong » punch.
+ The spring hammer of my eyelet setter is tendrilled, can I still use it ?
  • Yes, it is still usable but the fact that the spring hammer is tendrilled will make lose punch force linked to the spring work.
