Description

Step 1

First of all, you need a cilinder made of a very strong cardstock of 11 cm with diameter 8 cm. Put the cilinder on the adhesive paper with classic design (180 gr/mq) and, using the ShapeCutter™, cut all around the cilinder’s base to get a paper circle.

Step 2

Use the scissors to cut a 26 cm length and 6 cm wide stripe from the aluminium foil.

Step 3

Emboss the metallic foil using the ShapeBossÔ and stencil leaving a border of 0,5 cm on both sides. Apply the aluminium stripe all around the cilinder using a strong bi-adhesive tape. Adhere with some bi-adhesive tape the joint point of the wings on the paper and bend them slightly to give a 3D effect.

Step 4

Use the scissors and cut a rectangle from adhesive papers to cover the inner part of the cilinder plus 1 cm on both sides up and down that you’ll bend outside for assembling with strong glue.

Step 5

In the same way, cover the rest of the external part of the penholder cutting two stripes of decorated paper. Adhere the stripes over and under the embossed aluminium stripe, taking care of the paper design. Tips: if the paper has a particular design, take care about it when you’re cutting shapes or stripes. Paper design should follow the same direction for a homogeneus final result.

Step 6

Put the cilinder on a pressed cardstock 2mm thick, and cut out a circle shape of 8 cm diameter that will be the base of your penholder. Adhere accuratly the adhesive paper circle (step 1) on the cilinder’s base and fix it under the penholder using a strong glue to complete the project.
