Instructions Take 2 x A4 thin card and score and fold one down the centre. On the second one, on the back draw a line where the centre fold would be with a pencil but do not fold. Using the rectangle shapecutter and your paper placed portrait, place one of the rectangles over the centre line with the centre line being 1 third from the top or bottom. With a peel off pen, mark the template where the centre line meets the sides of the templates. Using the shapecutter score down the two side lines of the rectangle and draw along the top and bottom with a pencil., dont cut all the way around. Turn the template around and place it back over the rectangle. Where the marks are on the template that you made earlier drawn a line across the card. This will be where your pop up folds. Do a second one with a smaller rectangle but if the first had 1 third at the bottom , this time leave one third at the top and this will mean you have two different size pop ups. Once you have the two shapes marked and cut then score the centre line between and around the two rectangles. Score the line that you drew for folding on the two rectangles. Carefully fold the card over and at the same time fold the pop ups inwards and crease against the score lines. Once this is done, stick the pop up card inside the first card. Decoration. I used a vintage style paper and glued a peice in front of the pop ups. For the cake I used a vintage type paper and the birthdays shapecutter template. The icing was a piece of plain yellow card which when I cut it out I chalked around the edge to age it. I used a thin sliver of card behind the cantle to ensure that it all stayed in place and the flame did not fall off. I used Lisa using the shapecutter letter templates and a contrasting colour of paper but you can use any word. This was mounted onto another peice of vintage paper which had the top corners rounded off with the fiskars corner rounder scissors. At the back of the card I decorated it with a cut out from the template for quotes. Other decorative pieces of paper and some vintage style stamping. The front can be decorated however you want but I have included the instructions for the one that I did in another project. Easy when you know how! Add to my favourites |
